A Yorkshire mobility dealer that launched its showroom in September is among the final four in the ‘Retailer of the Year’ category of the National Best Business Awards, regarded as one of the UK’s most prestigious business awards.
Harrogate’s motion furniture and mobility retailer, Rise Furniture and Mobility, stood out to the judges, who were looking for clear and defined route to market, demonstrating innovation, forward thinking and exceptional customer service.
Managing director Carl Drake said that the company was runner up in the ‘Best Website’ category at the Harrogate Advertiser business awards earlier this year and that he is “delighted” to be considered as one of the top four retail businesses in the country.
The Harrogate showroom features British-built rise and recline chairs, bespoke adjustable beds, stairlifts and mobility scooters. It also deals in daily living products and it is the only Yorkshire business to have reached the finals.
Drake continued: “Thinking mobility and not disability, we are committed to growth and meeting the demands of the increasing, ageing population.
“For any potential customers unable to visit our Harrogate showroom, we offer a door-to-store service, home visits by appointment and have a growing online and mail order business.
“Rise Furniture and Mobility is already changing people’s lives by reinventing the shopping experience for the elderly or anyone struggling with mobility, by selling products that people really want, rather than products they need out of necessity.”
The award winner will be announced at the end of June at an event in London.
