A free webinar will take place next week to provide training and support for occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals working with clients who have been affected by or are vulnerable to falls.
The 50-minute webinar, hosted by Yorkshire Care Equipment, will take place on Thursday, April 22 at 2pm.
It will provide an overview of the significance of falls in the UK to individuals and the NHS and the ramifications of falls and the severity of different types of hip fractures.
The webinar will also explore preventative measures that can be taken to tackle falls around the home and provide an introduction to a falls prevention device, launching for the first time in the UK.
An international guest speaker from the University of Grenoble in the French Alps will share results from their studies on falls prevention, and there will be a live Q&A to round of the webinar.
