Wilcare looks to mobility dealerships to develop business

Wales’ rise and recline manufacturer, Wilcare, has appointed a new group business development manager who has been brought in to develop the company’s network of partner mobility dealerships.

Stephen Stock joins the company as group business development manager and will work alongside national sales manager Gavin Wilson, to develop business.

Stock has 10 years’ experience in the mobility aids sector has just returned after a decade in commercial vehicle sales management.

Anthony Kiff, Wilcare’s managing director, said that Stock brings “invaluable experience at a time when we are further expanding our presence in the market through our traditional Wilcare and contemporary accentu8 brands”.

He said: “We look forward to further growing strong, mutually beneficial dealer partnerships throughout the mobility sector.”

Commenting on his new role, Stock said: “I have known the Wilcare team and their products for many years, they are long-established and well respected in the marketplace. Being aware of their product innovations and expansion in manufacturing capacity, I jumped at the opportunity to become part of the team and play my part in driving the business further forward.”

The Welsh furniture company has been manufacturing rise and recline and associated furniture for 17 years at its Cowbridge base in Wales. In 2015 it augmented its offering of traditional rise and recline chairs with the introduction of its accentu8 brand of contemporary styled recliner and static furniture.

“With the timeless design styles of Wilcare to our contemporary accentu8 ranges, and our new Partnership programme, we have a great opportunity to enhance the offering currently being provided to our reseller channel. These are exciting times for the Wilcare Group,” added Kiff.
