WheelPower is inviting people to get involved in this year’s Mix96 Tour De Vale Charity Bike Ride, announcing that entries are now open.
Described as a ‘great community event’, this year the bike ride will take place on June 7.
Commenting on the day, Jo Hall, the event organiser, said: “It’s a great community event with a really positive atmosphere and we’re really excited to see everyone getting on their bikes on Sunday 7 June 2020 doing their bit for a worthwhile cause.”
Adding: “There’ll be medals for everyone who crosses the finish line and cyclists will be able to clock their personal best.”
She continued: “Without WheelPower, the world would be strange place’, commented Kris Aves, the Westminster Bridge attack victim and WheelPower beneficiary at the Mix96 Tour de Vale Charity Bike Ride 2019 event, Buckinghamshire’s biggest charity bike ride in aid of the wheelchair sports charity. Entries can be made online at www.tourdevale.com”
Last year, the family friendly bike ride raised just over £56,000 for WheelPower across 1,409 cyclists.
However, the challenge is on to beat this amount in 2020. Participants ranged from 1 to 86 years old with three routes to choose from everyone is welcome.
Funds from the Mix96 Tour De Vale Bike Ride have helped support some of WheelPower’s biggest accessible sporting events throughout the year such as the Inter-Spinal Unit Games, National Junior Games, and Primary & Junior Sports Camps.
