A wheelchair user has had to be rescued after becoming trapped under a lift at an unnamed property in Cornwall early this morning.
Firefighters and paramedics attended the call just after 5am in the town of Marazion. Emergency services used small tools to dismantle the lift and oxygen was given to the casualty.
Paramedics treated the casualty once they had been freed from the lift.
A statement from Cornwall Fire & Rescue said: “Firefighters from Penzance and a Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon attended a call to a person in a wheelchair who had become trapped under a lift.
“Small tools was used to dismantle the lift whilst oxygen therapy was administered to the casualty. Once the casualty was released they were left in the care of Ambulance Paramedics.”
