WheelAir welcomes new clinical educator


WheelAir has welcomed Susie Turnbull to its team as clinical educator.

In the role, Turnbull will focus on furthering the development and implementation of the company’s clinical strategy.

Her role includes building on microclimate research and fully understanding the effects of overheating and over-sweating on wheelchair users.

Research will be advanced through partnerships with Universities and Hospitals and presented at conferences worldwide.

Turnbull joins WheelAir qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2000, working within the NHS and also as an independent practitioner since then.

Her area of expertise lies in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, where she has enjoyed 14 years at the National Spinal Injuries Centre.

Having also achieved a Masters in Design Research for Disability (2006), Turnbull has said is excited to join the WheelAir team, where she hopes to combine her passions for a good idea and improving lives for people with disabilities.

WheelAir said it is confident that the vast knowledge that Turnbull has built-up will translate in stronger company resources and further assist us in training our commercial network.
