Manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicle products Koller, has kick-started its production taking the first steps back to normality from the COVID-19-forced lockdown.
Koller detailed how its team have been making decisions based on the most recent information provided by the government, while keeping the health and safety of employees a top priority at all times.
With this in mind, Koller confirmed that production of their portfolio of wheelchair accessible vehicle products to fulfil essential orders required for safe travel began again on May 4.
Production started at reduced level, with priorities for existing orders and this will be reviewed over the coming months and gradually increased before full production is resumed.
Dean Koller, company director said: “We are taking measures to ensure that our workforce is safe during the current pandemic. This includes implementing maximum possible distancing, relocating workstations across the facility, as well as ensuring all staff follow the guidelines on hand cleanliness.
“In addition, we have also employed extra cleaning regimes to ensure the highest possible cleanliness procedures are used at all times. We will continue to monitor this rapidly evolving situation and adapt if required.”
Concluding: “I just want to give my thanks to all of Koller’s customers for their patience and understanding during this unusual time and look forward to resuming full scale production and service in the coming months.”
