Karma Mobility’s VIP2 tilt-in-space wheelchair was in high demand earlier this week as distributors gathered on the supplier’s stand at Trade Days to experience equipment up close.
Karma showcased severalnew products over the two days including its Ergo 115 Tall, 125 Tall and the Star 2 wheelchair.
The VIP2 in particular received “extremely positive” feedback, according to general manager, Mark Duffield.
He said: “Having an event solely targeted at the trade is great for us and over the course of the two days we met with many existing retailers from around the UK and also had the opportunity to engage with a significant number of potential new ones.”
The second generation VIP2 folding tilt-in-space wheelchair includes a new recline feature and headrest design.
The VIP2 is the latest addition to the Karma Mobility portfolio of manual wheelchairs and offers users a combination of tilt-in-space and reclining positions for users.
The VIP2 still has 35-degree tilt and now comes with either a backrest with fixed recline positions or an adjustable reclining back of 30 degrees.
One adjustment made to the VIP2 in response to concern among users of sliding when using a reclining wheelchair, has been to locate its pivot point closer to the hip joint.
This synchronises with the motion of the body and the chair therefore greatly reducing the sensation of sliding when reclining.
