A mobility furniture manufacturer that branched out into retail recently has joined forces with TV doctor, Dr Miriam Stoppard, who took part in a special Q&A session at the firm’s new store.
Adjustamatic, which is based in North Wales but recently opened its second retail outlet in Southampton, hosted the session as part of Back Care Awareness Week.
Offering advice to visitors to the retail store, author and presenter Dr Stoppard educated end-users on the benefits of contoured beds for easing back pain.
Dr Stoppard became Adjustamatic’s health and mobility advisor last year and she has produced material for the brand’s website to advise customers and promote the company.
She told the Southern Daily Echo: “Buying a bed shouldn’t be underestimated and choosing the wrong bed can cause a lifetime of health disadvantages, including back issues.
“Your bed should be viewed as an investment and something that should last you several years. Bearing in mind the amount you sleep, you’ll want to ensure you get it right.”
Adjustamatic store manager, Peter Hamerton, told the newspaper: “Having Dr Stoppard at the store was brilliant and created a lot of interest. Her knowledge was extremely insightful, and we look forward to welcoming her again in the future.”
