Connected care and health solutions provider Tunstall Healthcare has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a fall detection and communication device.
Tunstall GOTM, which can be worn as a pendant or attached to a key ring, includes two-way speech, fall detection and location features.
Developed by Chiptech, it complements telecare packages by providing users with the means to easily access help when away from home.
Gavin Bashar, managing director at Tunstall Healthcare, (pictured) said: “GO is an exceptional device that will make care services more flexible and empower vulnerable people whilst reassuring family members that loved ones are being protected.
“GO is a fantastic addition to Tunstall’s portfolio, and will add an extra dimension to the services our customers can offer to the people they support. This is particularly important whilst we continue to experience the effects of the COVID pandemic, and many vulnerable groups may be nervous about leaving home. It is an innovative product that can provide the confidence for people to reconnect with their communities and maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.
“During the pandemic, we’ve seen increased recognition of the value of technology in providing care and healthcare remotely, and a corresponding acceleration in adoption. This is something we expect to continue in coming months and years, and are working closely with our customers to help them develop their services as technology advances.
“The benefits of technology in health and care are enormous and Tunstall is committed to being at the forefront of new innovations that enter the arena and enable increased flexibility in the way care is delivered.”
