TUC’s new store offers ‘something lacking in mainstream retailers’

The Unlimited Company’s new store in Leeds is designed to lead the way in mobility retail design, featuring a tailor-made disabled adult changing area, something the company says mainstream dealers are lacking.

The changing room that has been created for those who want to try clothing on to check for comfort, size and practicality.

Designed to act as a one-stop-shop that helping disabled and elderly people to live their lives to the full, the new store has some key design features that aim to set it apart from the traditional mobility store along with its bright, clean look and more holistic approach to retail.

It has kitchen and bathroom installations for customers to see how functional features and room modifications can still look stylish in the home environment.

In addition, there is a resident occupational therapist on hand offering a free OT service to customers that includes home visits and in-store advice sessions.

The Unlimited Company, owned by Simplyhealth, opened the new Leeds store last week in the Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park at a launch event accompanied by Team BRIT Racing.

The Unlimited Company offers customers a range of mobility and home assistance products that make everyday living easier – from mobility scooters, wheelchairs and walking aids to kitchen gadgets, dressing aids and a newly launched Assisted Technology range that brings push button assistance into the home.
