Mobility equipment professionals and end-users alike will be able to try out various brands of scooters, including new models, this month on a diverse test track designed to give sellers and users a feel for the products’ key elements and features.
TGA’s mobility test track will return to Naidex at the end of the month and will give visitors a chance to test drive any brand of scooter in a safe environment.
Building on last year’s test track, TGA’s show feature will include ramps and obstacles which simulate the everyday situations a scooter driver may face on the road and pavement.
By manoeuvring around the course visitors will be able to test suspension, steering, braking and controls.
TGA advisors will be offering the latest tips from the Highway Code and everyone who completes the course will receive a TGA-accredited ‘Safe Scoot’ certificate and exclusive product offers.
Daniel Stone, TGA’s managing director, said: “As test track sponsor for the third year, we believe this feature is so important for end users. It reflects our ethos for a structured and thorough assessment process that ensures the right product is supplied to the right person.
“This is essential for maximised independence, safety and peace of mind. Our specialist advisors will be standing by to guide visitors around our unique course – so they experience the ‘TGA driving difference’ in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.”
