Tesco leads the way on new Changing Places toilets installed during February


Changing Places has confirmed that 19 accessible toilets were installed during February this year.

Tesco spearheaded the installation this month, installing 9 across a number of its stores.

This news comes just a week after Rihi Sunak confirmed he would set aside a £30m investment for Changing Places toilets in the Spring Budget.

On the funding, the organisation explained how the new Changing Places Fund will see the Government match the costs of installing Changing Places toilets in existing buildings.

Giving a monthly update, the new facilities are as followed:

  • Tesco Blackpool Clifton Extra
  • Birmingham NEC Arena
  • University College London College / University Education building
  • Odeon Cinema in Dundee
  • Carn Brea Leisure Centre Sports, Redruth
  • Tesco Leeds Seacroft Extra
  • Tesco Hull Superstore
  • Tesco Burnley Extra
  • Tesco Prestatyn Superstore
  • Church Walk public toilet block, Pershore
  • The Boulevard shopping centre, Banbridge
  • Drusillas Park, Alfriston
  • Newark Sports and Fitness Centre
  • Burnley Public Park
  • The Atkinson Exhibition, Southport
  • Tesco Billingham Retailer
  • Tesco Haydock Church Rd Superstore
