A retail software company is looking to reach out to independent and national mobility dealerships with its latest electronic point of sale (EPOS) system, which it claims can help retailers to bridge the gap between on and offline sales.
CSY Retail System’s latest system is designed to help manage stock levels, process customer transactions, calculate VAT and analyse customer habits to make business run smoother and remove time-consuming paperwork.
The company’s managing director, Ross Pierrepont, believes that an updated EPOS system is vital for mobility dealers who want to keep up with the rapidly changing and advancing retail landscape where technology is evermore prevalent.
“EPOS provides distinct advantages over single till or older POS systems. For independent living stores, EPOS can provide a real opportunity to make managing sales, transactions, stock and other actions much easier,” said Pierrepont.
“Take calculating VAT for example. It can be a tough task if you or a team member in your store has to do it manually. If you sell stair lifts, then a customer with a disability doesn’t pay VAT, but an older person pays a reduced rate of 5%. An EPOS system is a smart way to calculate VAT for you, whoever the customer is.”
Pierrepont added: “Mobility scooters, stair lifts and power chairs all require servicing every 12 months. You can install an EPOS system that has the capability to send auto-mated emails to customers when their scooter or lift needs to have its service. A handy tool to make an important part of your business run smoothly. Or if you don’t use email, your EPOS provider can send a letter to be posted to customers.”
