Signia has received one of the world’s most prestigious design awards, the iF Design Award, for its Active Pro hearing aids.
The business was recognised by a jury, made up of 98 design experts from over 20 nations, for creating a “compelling solution” to help people with hearing loss overcome the psychological hurdle of wearing hearing aids.
Active Pro is discreet earbud-style hearing aid system designed to help people with minor to moderate hearing problems.
The earbuds are rechargeable and come with Signia Xperience technology and its innovative Dynamic Soundscape Processing, which designed to deliver enhanced sound and speech clarity in every situation, even when moving.
Commenting on the product, the jury said: “Traditional hearing aids often carry a stigma and are perceived as old fashioned and make people feel old. This means that many people who would benefit greatly from a hearing aid, are not willing to even try one. Signia have created a compelling solution to help people overcome this psychological hurdle.”
Launched in Germany in 1953, the iF label is perceived as a reliable sign of outstanding designing for consumers and the design community.
Signia global chief marketing officer Maarten Barmentlo commented: “Signia Active Pro is the third unique solution that Signia has launched in the past few years to help drive adoption and acceptance of hearing care solutions, the invisible Signia Silk, the award-winning Signia Styletto and now the award-winning Signia Active Pro.”
