ShopMobility UK has launched a new website as part of a rebrand of its equipment loan services across the country.
The nationwide network of charitable/local authority centres that loan out mobility scooters and wheelchairs for shopping and leisure activities, has launched the revamped website as it bids to make online accessibility easier for its customers.
ShopMobility UK has recently become part of Driving Mobility and this has led to a ‘reinvigoration’ of its loan services.
Part of its new communication strategy to service users and centre managers has involved the development of a new website.
This website now features clear information on its services, alongside a ShopMobility centre locator.
There is also a trade login area for scheme members so they can access useful resources.
Most ShopMobility centres hire equipment such as manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
The new ShopMobility UK website includes a news section which provides an opportunity for centres to share their updates and learn from other scheme members.
This is being supported by managed social media aimed at service users and centre managers.
Edward Trewhella, Driving Mobility CEO, said: “It has been exciting times for service users and scheme members since we evolved from The National Federation of ShopMobility (NFSUK).
“Now known as ShopMobility UK, we are delighted to see renewed enthusiasm from our scheme members as they embrace change and work closely with our dedicated national coordinator. The new streamlined website perfectly reflects our rejuvenated approach and I would encourage all with an interest in accessibility and personal mobility, to engage with us and share our news.”
