ScootaMart creates ‘blinged up’ mobility scooter during lockdown

Preston based business ScootaMart has created a ‘blinged up’ mobility scooter during lockdown.

Staff at the retailer’s Owen Street store spent over 500 hours creating the one of a kind ‘Pride Ranger’, Blog Preston reported.

Ian Jaeger of ScootaMart said: “As an essential retailer of mobility products we have remained open over the past year to service and supply our customers.

“However, as it has been quiet on the high street, rather than twiddle our thumbs our staff have put in the time and made a one of a kind Pride Ranger mobility scooter to bring a smile to people’s faces in these challenging times.

“We have added over 50,000 crystals one by one, taking over 500 hours of manual labour, retro fitted and added bling to a vintage Porsche rally seat then wired in a light kit that flashes to the music beat.

“Lastly, we made a trailer with matching wheels to carry the designer shopping bags.”
