Ross Care backs council scheme recognising employee achievements

Mobility equipment provider Ross Care recently supported Oldham Council in its ‘TOP Awards’ ceremony, which is an initiative to support the council’s employees who best represent the authority’s core values.

The ceremony recognises and rewards individual staff and teams, allowing the council to express their gratitude and celebrate outstanding efforts of their staff.

The scheme helps identify and celebrate  staff from Oldham Council, Oldham Care and Support, Unity Partnership, Oldham Community Leisure (OCL) and Oldham schools.

Ross Care helped to sponsor the event and shared a table with Lorna Barry, who was awarded ‘Young Employee of the Year’ on the night.

”We were thrilled with her achievement,” said Ross Care’s marketing manager Alastair Ronaldson. “It felt a real a privilege to take part in what was an incredibly well-run and positive event. The evening was very inspiring and a credit to the hard work and community focus being delivered in Oldham’.”

Ross Care Independent Living opened a flagship store in Failsworth, Oldham earlier this year. With a free-to-use community hub, the mobility superstore aims to be well-located with facilities that serve the Oldham area.

The company also recently launched an e-commerce site which in addition to selling mobility equipment offers advice and signposting to its users.
