Oxfordshire dealer, Recare, has been appointed as the chosen UK technical partner of ReWalk Robotics, which manufactures and supplies special exoskeleton devices for disabled people.
The ReWalk 6.0 Personal Exoskeleton is designed to be used at home and its servicing requires technical engineers who are confident and skilled with complex medical devices.
Prior to officially being appointed, Recare’s team underwent intensive technical training on the ReWalk exoskeletal walking device.
It will be the UK centre for all service, warranty and repairs and will be tasked with supporting end-users as well as aiding the growth of the product range within the UK marketplace.
Last year Recare increased staff across all departments, with the team now at 16 strong.
With Andrew Sutherland and Tim Cox Recare has strongly enhanced its specialist complex rehabilitation provision capability.
Stephen Ruffle, national sales manager for ReWalk, said he was confident in the supplier’s choice and Recare’s “skilled team”.

“With ReWalk Robotics’ in house support in Germany, USA and Israel we now have an extremely strong technical team to look after all of our ReWalkers and training centres across the UK and Ireland.”
