Recare expands manual wheelchair offering with exclusive Motion Composites agreement

Recare has signed an exclusive UK distribution agreement with Motion Composites, the Canadian firm behind high-tech active user manual wheelchairs.

In announcing the deal, Recare said it reflects its work and goals in the rehab and mobility industry.

Commenting on the move, James Holland-Oakes, commercial director, said: “Again this will be another instinctive bolt on Recare’s plans for growth through 2020-2021.

“There is a recognisable gap in the UK market for this type of product that is not fulfilled by other manufactures current product offerings. Recare recognises this will be a great product to offer a variety of audiences including; private clients, NHS, PWB’s and case managers alike.”

Since its inception, Motion Composites has developed a family of innovative, high-performance manual wheelchairs.

For the past five years, the company has ranked amongst the top 500 fastest growing companies in Canada and has earned two prestigious Red Dot awards for exceptional wheelchair design in 2017 and 2019.

Motion Composites sells its wheelchairs via an extensive network of dealers and distributors across Canada, the US and Europe.
