Age UK rolls out rebranded product range through selected equipment providers


Age UK’s rebranded range of products and services, which includes living aids, insurance and equipment like stairlifts, is being rolled out across its selected suppliers in the mobility market.

Age Co launched recently and donations to Age UK charities from Age Co sales are expected to reach £3 million in 2018.

The brand’s products will be sold under the Age Co name through trusted companies in the mobility market.

One of the latest additions to Age Co is a newly-launched adjustable bed brand created in partnership with equipment supplier, Theraposture.

Age Co Adjustable Beds are designed to provide multiple lifestyle and well-being benefits resulting from greater comfort and better quality sleep.

Liam Braddell, Theraposture’s sales director, said that many adjustable furniture companies will not provide accurate information about costs “with a view to creating an opportunity for a salesman to visit [the end-users’s] home”.

“Commonly, such visits by commission-based sales professionals are focused on getting an order for often inappropriate and vastly overpriced products.

“Here at Theraposture, we are completely different – we listen to customer needs, provide pricing upfront and only recommend the right product…customers are always in control of their decisions.

“As an ethical specialist, we have been chosen to make and supply Age Co adjustable beds on behalf of the charity Age UK.”

Companies selected to sell Age Co products are supposed to offer a trustworthy service that champions price transparency.

Age Co sellers must not employ high pressure selling tactics and the products are designed to offer a trusted, safe solution at a fair price.
