Progeo reveals some of the wheelchairs in its range that sell best on the UK market

Italian wheelchair supplier, Progeo, has named the ‘top selling’ pieces of equipment in its 19-strong range, which include some of its newest models.

Among its most successful wheelchairs, which are sold via its distribution network across the UK and Ireland, are the Duke and the Noir 2.0, which helped front the company’s recent campaign to find new dealer partners.

The Duke wheelchair has a carbon fibre monocoque frame and is built using high modulus carbon fibre, allowing it to have one of the lightest adjustable frame on the market. The wheelchair weighs under 5kg without the wheels attached.

The frame is designed to support “resistance and reactivity” while the integration of the fork also aims to increase resistance, according to Progeo. The Duke is also compatible with the power add-ons, such as the Triride.

Another ‘top seller’ identified by the company is its Joker R2, which is an ultralight rigid frame chair built with 7020 aircraft-grade aluminium and shaped with hydroformed technology, using high-pressure water. The use of technology means the frame has section shapes.

Its weight without the rear wheels is 5.6kg and the wheelchair has a number of optional extras. Included in the price are the carbon-fibre mudguards, which are usually considered an option and often incur an extra charge, but the company believes they are necessary for this type of wheelchair.

The Ego folding active wheelchair is one of Progeo’s best performing chairs when it comes to sales and at the centre of its features is its opening and closing system (Synchro Motion Folding System).

Meanwhile, Progeo’s Noir 2.0, is one of its top-flying products despite only recently entering onto the market.

It claims to be the only made-to-measure carbon fibre wheelchair and each detail is designed to achieve an aesthetic, linear look, in addition to being light and having maximum resistance.

Finally, the renewed and lightened Exelle Vario is equipped with a system to swing the removable footplates inwardly or outwardly, making it a strong part of Progeo’s product portfolio. It is fully customisable with a wide range of colours and accessories.
