Equipment including height adjustable kitchens and bathrooms from Pressalit Care have featured in an award-winning holiday home development, Flat Spaces, especially created to offer respite to those with severe disabilities, their families and carers.

The Flat Spaces Foundation has just been awarded a Gold medal in the Access and Inclusivity category of the Beautiful South Tourism Awards, regarded by many as the highlight of the 2017 tourism calendar in the south of England.

Presented by TV and radio celebrity Toby Anstis, the Beautiful South Award was presented to Tom Yendell, chairman and founder of Flat Spaces.

Anstis said that the recognition gives us added impetus to move forward with plans to open additional Flat Spaces around the country to enable those with more complex physical needs, their families and carers, to enjoy holidays.

“Flat Spaces guests benefit from the wonderful facilities and equipment we have chosen for our bungalows, including indispensable rise and fall kitchens and bathrooms from Pressalit Care.”

Designed to enable those with complex individual needs to enjoy their holiday without worry, each Flat Spaces bungalow has been fitted out in a contemporary style to reflect the latest design and thinking in accessible living.

By selecting Pressalit Care to provide rise and fall equipment in the wetroom, dining room and kitchen, visitors benefit from quality equipment that has been designed to offer a  flexible and practical approach that people can rely on to meet their individual needs.

Pressalit Care height-adjustable Indivo table frames and work surfaces, that allow the height to be selected with a simple turn handle, feature in the dining and kitchen area, while the wetrooms feature the Pressalit Care adjustable shower chair on a Plus horizontal track, together with shower, grab rails and shower curtain; hinged arm supports alongside the WC and Pressalit Care rise and fall basin, as well as adjustable grab rails by the bath for added support.
