Personal Lift Group welcomes new chairman

Dolphin Lifts Mobility managing director Lee Farrington has joined the Personal Lift Group (PLG), a division of the Lift and Escalator Industry Association’s (LEIA).

PLG meets three times yearly to discuss improvements that can be made to lift solutions.

It also helps develop safety standards and training within the sector.

This has recently included developing Europe-wide guidelines on safety for personal lift technologies.

It also analyses market data and monitors the success of the personal lift sector.

As new chairman of PLG, Farrington commented: “I am deeply honoured to have been elected to this position by my peers and will endeavour to do my upmost to help support manufacturers, customers and suppliers during what are and will continue to be extremely challenging times for us all as a result of the coronavirus.

“I am very passionate about our industry and ensuring everyone receives a first-class service and I hope to inject fresh ideas and a fresh approach to promoting the great work of the LEIA by building on the valuable work of my predecessors as we look to the future.”
