Permobil has announced the acquisition of MAX Mobility, further expanding its wheelchair offering by providing a motorized power-assist solution to its users and bridging the gap between power and manual wheelchairs.

SmartDrive MX2+ with PushTracker is a revolutionary power-assist device that works on virtually any manual wheelchair on the market.

“Our aim is to make SmartDrive more widely and easily available for wheelchair users in Europe. We have moved distribution from the US to our European distribution center which greatly improves our ability to serve our customers”, said Gordon Cunningham, general manager of Permobil UK and Ireland.

“Support in the UK will be provided by the existing dealer network, supported by the Permobil UK team. To arrange a SmartDrive demo please feel free to contact us by clicking here, or come and visit us at Naidex, Stand 9110, on 25th and 26th April.”
