Penultimate unveiling of TGA’s largest ever scooter launch

TGA Maximo Plus

TGA Mobility has revealed the penultimate mobility scooter as part of its largest ever scooter launch, which will be on show at Naidex.

The folding, faster 6mph Maximo Plus, will be launched to retailers alongside four other new products in Birmingham’s NEC this month.

The folding 4mph Maximo was launched at Naidex 2015. Incorporating the same engineering and design of its smaller sister model, the Minimo, the Maximo can be folded in seconds with one hand and requires no parts to be dismantled for storage.

Despite its larger size the Maximo is still lightweight and compact enough when folded for hassle-free transportation in the boot of a typical estate car or 4×4. It has been designed to deliver a smoother ride with greater stability through larger wheels, pneumatic tyres, advanced suspension and a wider chassis.

The new Maximo Plus offers all the features of the Maximo along with Class 3 status, meaning it is compliant for road use with a higher top speed of 6mph, powerful headlights, indicators and a horn.

The 6mph Maximo Plus aims to provide enhanced performance and a higher speed for reduced journey times. Personalised comfort has been targeted with a design that can be adjusted to suit a range of rider heights and weights.

The fully adjustable and ergonomic control tiller and armrests, along with the supportive orthopaedic seat, hope to ensure every driver can position their neck, shoulders and arms in a relaxed manner.

Daniel Stone, TGA managing director, commented on the launch: “The trusted family of folding scooters from TGA continues to provide dealers with best-selling products that deliver customer satisfaction.

“They offer the best in advanced transportability and comfort with space saving storage and a build quality that is second-to-none. Introduction of the more powerful Maximo Plus will provide another new dimension for dealers looking to supply a car boot scooter that combines maximum versatility with ultimate stability and comfort.”
