An assistive bathing manufacturer will team up with consultancy, The OT Service, next month at the Kidz South exhibition.
Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions, in association with The OT Service, will be delivering a CPD assisted bathing seminar and debuting the Gemini 2000 bath at the Farnborough show.
The Kidz series of regional exhibitions, managed by the charity Disabled Living, provide the opportunity to see the latest specialist equipment and services for disabled children and young adults.
The session will explore ‘play’ as an occupation and consider how legislation and clinical reasoning can be used to support the necessity of a bath in the design process.
The OT Service is a key partner of Abacus ‘Lunch and Learn’ and ‘CPD Assisted Bathing Workshops’ which provide free assisted bathing education and training for healthcare professionals.
The hi-lo Gemini 2000 aims to deliver a future-proofed solution for both paediatric and adult bathers and is the largest platform bath on the market.
It includes unique dual lift technology and a multi-purpose in-built platform. This facilitates easier transfers, drying and bathing, resulting in improved comfort, dignity and safety for disabled bathers.
