bathstore, one of the UK’s most expansive bathroom retailers, is moving further into the specialist accessible bathing market with the introduction of its new Easy Bathing range, designed to make bathrooms more accessible.
The collection consists of a multitude of products, from low-level walk-in shower baths, comfort height basins and toilets, shower seats, step-free shower solutions and furniture suitable for multi-generational living – to specially designed mobility aids and wheelchair accessible vanity units.
Dean Weston, deputy CEO at bathstore, explained that the new product range is “only the start”, and said the collection will grow with the needs of an aging and inclusive population. He revealed the retailer is planning more accessible products in the not-too-distant future.
“More and more families are choosing to live together, with the rise of multi-generational living becoming popular and practical. This lifestyle choice should not mean people compromise on look and feel, this is why we created Easy Bathing, a logical business decision that promotes style and practicality in the home, catering for every family from any walk of life.”
Meanwhile, Gary Favell, CEO of bathstore, said: “Given the current economic climate, it is more important than ever to look at investing in products that help safe-guard independent living now and into the future.”
bathstore recently moved into the bedroom and kitchen markets as it diversified its retail model this year reaching into more avenues. It also recorded revenues of £139m for the year ended 31 July 2016, making it a key player in British retail. Its net profit for the period was £16m.
The new Easy Bathing is designed to cater for individuality of age, ability and situation. Easy bathing aims to combine aesthetics with practical adaptations to aid independent use and subtly remove everyday barriers to bathing without separating life from the rest of the household.
