A stairlift dealer based in Lincolnshire has expanded its showroom, renovated its office and brought on two new members of staff to help it on its next phase of growth.
Three new offices have been built within the former storage area and will accommodate the sales and finance team.
Meanwhile the showroom, which used to be two separate rooms, has had the connecting door removed and is now one large showroom.
Obam Stairlifts’ director, Chris Butroid, said that in 2018 the firm is “steadily developing a strong team” to take it through the next phase of growth as a business.
“In addition to new staff and office improvements, we’re almost ready to launch our new website, which will allow our customers to get access to more information, advice and guidance before they get in touch with us.”
As part of the new appointments, Obam Stairlifts welcomed Adrian Hallam to the engineering team, who is an experienced and qualified engineer and will support the business by delivering servicing and maintenance work as well as out-of-hours breakdown cover.
Having quickly settled into his new role, Hallam said he already feels like part of the team. “It’s a great company to work for. The team are friendly, loyal and trustworthy – which is a great attribute, especially as we work with lots of vulnerable people.
“Every day is different, and I enjoy meeting our customers and using my problem-solving skills to help get them regain the use of their stairlift as quickly as possible.”
Also joining the team is Simon Wright, from North Hykeham, who has taken up a newly established role as logistics coordinator, having recently relocated from Kent.
Wright has eight years’ experience in planning and logistics and recently spent a year organising the installation team at Swale Heating.
“It’s great to see Obam Stairlifts taking a more strategic approach to its planning,” he said. “In my new role I’ll be looking at where we can make the best use of our engineers’ time, while still delivering our high standard of care to our customers.”
