NRS Healthcare swells OT ranks after ‘huge recruitment drive’

NRS OT team

Mobility equipment provider NRS Healthcare has recently been on a “huge recruitment drive” which has seen its clinical team grow to 30 people including 14 occupational therapists and nine OT assistants.

The company says it still has vacancies to fill as it looks to further expand its team which is currently preparing to help customers meet their equipment needs in 2018.

Recently appointed OT assistant, Kate Saffell, worked in product management for four years and intends to use her knowledge of mobility products to help OTs, care homes and end-users purchase suitable equipment.

Saffell said her role in product management has allowed her to work closely with OTs meaning she has experienced first-hand how they interact with customers.

“My role in the Occupational Therapy team will be very customer-focussed and I’ll be able to put my product knowledge to good use when taking calls on the product advice line or answering questions that come in on email or via live webchat.

“I’m looking forward to finding out the needs of our customers, talking to them about their individual circumstances and helping them to choose a product that will give them the confidence to live more independently.”

Recently, NRS’s long-standing sales director, Andrew Stevenson, announced he will depart the company at the end of this year and will take up a new role as CEO at Worcester-based charity Deaf Direct.
