New venture merges learning disabilities and complex care providers

Leading social care entrepreneur and founder of Grosvenor Health and Social Care, Ravi Bains, (pictured) has launched a new social care venture, the Five Rivers Care Group.

The group brings together two complementary social care companies with the same core values – Liberty Support Services and Yorhealth care. Liberty Support is a specialist supported living provider for people with learning disabilities and complex care needs, and Yorhealth, rated outstanding for Caring with CQC, offers nurse-led complex health care for children and young people. 

Ravi Bains, Founder of the Five Rivers Care Group, said: “I am delighted to be launching the Five Rivers Care Group, which has been three years in the pipeline. Our goal is to provide person-centred specialist health, learning disability and complex care services that are tailored to individual needs, placing our service users at the centre of everything we do.”

A team with an extensive range of expertise and experience in delivering exceptional care have been recruited to lead the venture. Ravi Bains will oversee strategic developments as Founder and Chairman and will work alongside James Guy (Chief Operating Officer), Sue Ridley (Head of Operations for Social Care), Liz Webster (RGN and Head of Operations for Health Care) and Phil Talbot ACA (Interim Finance Director).

The Group currently employs around 400 people, both support workers and office based, and plans to expand further in the next 12 months potentially employing a further 200 people.
