A new mobility store with plans to become a central part of the community will debut in Sidmouth this coming weekend.
Coastline Mobility will be run by Matt Gerry, who has been involved in the mobility industry via his father’s 30 years of experience in the sector.
He plans for his new business to have a long-term future in the area and become an important part of the local community.
Gerry told a local newspaper that he hopes to eventually expand the business and open a portfolio of mobility outlets.
The company will start by retailing living aids, bathing aids, rise and recliners and mobility scooters, as well as maintenance, servicing and equipment hire.
Gerry told The Sidmouth Herald: “Having lived in East Devon all of my life I am keen to build the business for my long term future in Sidmouth.
“As the only mobility shop in the area, being local to our customers is key to providing them with the support they need as soon as they need it.”
An established Sidmouth dealer, More Than Mobility, closed its branch in the town in March after its owners decided they would concentrate on the business’s more profitable stores.
