New DFG portal to make it easier for buyers to access dealers and installers

Foundations, the national body for home improvement agencies, has launched a new online space where buyers can be put directly in touch with mobility providers and installers.

Its new procurement service aims to make it easier for home improvement agencies and local authorities specifying adaptations and equipment to find and buy from a supplier.

The organisation stated: “We have developed a new DFG Tenders – Home Adaptations Portal, which brings buyers and suppliers in one place, making it easier for HIAs to manage DFG adaptations.

The system comes with a standard specification and will be initially rolled out to a limited number of 20 home improvement agencies.”

The portal aims to give “instant estimates” to buyers for DFG applications. Aiming to be an attractive service for home improvement agencies, it said: “Write up a specification for a shower adaptation and get quotes in five minutes”. It is hoped it will quicken the buying process and benefit all parties involved, including the end-user.
