Moving & Handling People 2016 opens its South of England exhibition in London next week.
The show, which is run by the Disability Living Foundation, is sponsored by Etac, a global provider of hoists, wheelchairs, bathing and other mobility and access solutions.
It runs from February 2-3 at the Amnesty International UK Human Rights Action Centre in London.
In addition to being a sponsor, Etac will be showcasing its latest product innovations for care and healthcare including:
Molift Raiser, a sit to stand platform for safe transfers and optimal ergonomic moving and handling for the caregiver; Molift Partner, a lightweight critical care mobile hoist; and Molift Smart 150 – a stransportable lightweight hoist.
A selection of products from Etac’s Immedia manual handling range are also being used in demonstrations during CPD accredited practical workshops.
Consultant Heather Hetherington will demonstrate the latest practical advice on moving and handling in single-handed care situations, an increasingly common task as care providers look to provide consistent care with fewer staff.
Andrew King, Etac sales manager for the UK commented: “Etac is delighted to be a sponsor of Moving and Handling People which is offering a rich and diverse workshop programme. All our respected brands will be available for testing and our product specialists will be ready to discuss individual professional and client needs on a one-to-one basis. Etac believes education and hands-on training are paramount in allowing moving and handling professionals to reduce risk and increase dignity for service users.”
