Several scooter and powered wheelchair dealerships across the UK have been recognised for their outstanding levels of customer service in the Motability Scheme’s annual awards.

The awards are based on feedback from Motability Scheme customers and reward commitment to delivering high standards of care.

The awards are split into three categories based on the fleet size of the dealership.

In the large category (fleet over 200), Charterwood Mobility – Chartercare took home the top prize.

Meanwhile, Parkgate Mobility, Mobility Direct N. Ireland, Millercare and Easy Mobility Services were all listed as commended.

In the medium category (defined by a fleet size of 101-200), Cumbria Mobility, Altonaids Mobility, RKS and Scootermart Mobility Centre were commended, but True Mobility won the award.

Finally, O’Brien Mobility won in the small category, fending off commended dealers Mobility Scotland, Premier Mobility, NBR Scooter Brokers and Haven Mobility.

Ian Goswell, commercial services director, Motability Operations, commented: “One of the main aims of the Motability Powered Wheelchair and Scooter Scheme is to deliver exceptional service to our customers, and these dealerships demonstrate excellent customer service day in, day out – not an easy feat given the difficulties of 2020.

“We take great pride in working with these award-winning dealers, they’re the face of the Motability Scheme to so many customers, and it’s fantastic to see their continued dedication.”
