More Ability incorporated into bathroom retailer’s Harrogate showroom

The adaptable bathroom division of Passmore Group, More Ability, has been brought into its Harrogate showroom as part of an expansion of the store and its specialist equipment arm.

Passmore Group, a home improvement firm, acquired Charms Bathrooms and launched More Ability in the last 12 months to provide safer bathroom solutions for elderly and less mobile customers.

The existing 3,000 square foot space in Harrogate, which is also home to More Bathrooms, now showcases accessible walk-in baths, easy access showers and wet rooms.

Managing director, Tony Passmore, said that the group has grown to become “the leading bathroom installer and designer in the region”.

“With over 25 years’ experience adapting bathrooms our aim is to help improve the bathroom safety of as many Yorkshire customers as possible.

“60% of our customers put their bathing problems down to a form of arthritis – and with 10 million people in the UK consulting their GP each year for arthritic related conditions – we have witnessed a gradual increase in the need for the More Ability bathrooms.”

More and more bathroom retailers have been entering the adaptable market recently, with Easy Bathrooms and bathstore both launching their own ranges recently.

The bathing segment is following a trend of national and regional retailers increasingly becoming involved in the adaptability sector.
