Many of Modern Mobility and Bowker BMW’s Motability customers spent last year isolating due to the current pandemic.

Andrew Holden of Bowker BMW said “It’s the least we could for our customers. Christmas is all about putting a smile on people’s faces and I hope we have done this.”

The businesses were supported by local chef Paul Hilton as the hospitality remained furloughed during the Christmas period.

In total, 25 roast dinners were delivered to local residents across the county in one afternoon. Local resident Mrs Geraghty said “Thank you so much for the meal, it tasted fantastic. What a lovely thing to do at Christmas time.”

Ben Charlesworth, Owner of Modern Mobility, said “In normal years, many of our customers would normally come into the shop for a cup of tea and a chat. The pandemic has forced many of them to stay in their homes this year. They have lost that social interaction. We wanted to let them know we are still thinking of them.”
