Mobility & Lifestyle has announced it is moving its largest and oldest store in Nuneaton to a new, larger premises.
The mobility provider is expanding by moving its home to the former Blockbuster video store in the town’s city centre.
Founder Richard Smith told the Coventry Telegraph: “It has been a real journey for us, we have come full circle and this is an upgrade for us.
“We want to make it a landmark. This is a landmark building. We are going to call the building Blockbuster House as a tribute to it.”
The business originally launched in Nuneaton on Arbury Road in 2000 and then moved to New Century Way in 2005 and is now expanding to Blockbuster House.
“We are going to be a mobility megastore,” the director said.
“Moving here is such a big opportunity for us – it was like it was meant to be.”
The move will see the business more than doubling the size of its biggest store with free customer car parking outside the front door and a large in store workshop with a customer viewing gallery.
“It was by sheer coincidence that this came up, it’s a prime site and it suits what they want to do perfectly,” Richard said.
“We are excited, things have come full circle for us and we cannot wait to move in.”
