Meet the industry suppliers who have stepped forward to put their weight behind the most innovative, hardworking and successful mobility retailers in the business. Here are the sponsors for the 2019 AMP Awards, which takes place in London on Monday 21 October.

The 2019 AMP Awards will be run in association with specialist insurance supplier Mark Bates Ltd, which was recently unveiled as the official headline sponsor for the industry event. The Awards will take place in October and see the UK’s top mobility retailers gather at an exclusive location in London. The company says that the decision to support this year’s AMP Awards was “an easy one” because of its dedicated approach to its expanding mobility dealer network.

Founder Mark Bates comments: “Dealers are our shop window and remain as vital to us today as the day we began offering specialist insurance. We love celebrating success at every level, and these awards go some of the way to showing our appreciation of both AMP and this fantastic sector we work in. As shown with our VIP lounge at Trade Days, we love giving back to as many people as possible.

We design our insurance products to specifically meet the demands of our dealer network and work tirelessly towards improving our offerings in terms of commissions on all of our growing range of subsidiary products, but also our fantastic new Premier Club. This offers every customer that buys a policy and every single person in our dealer network, discounts and rewards at restaurants cinema tickets; high street shops and much more.”

Arjo, which is known throughout the industry for its safe patient handling solutions, is supporting the mobility sector’s best online and digital innovations at this year’s AMP Awards. Arjo is sponsoring the Best Online Initiative category, which will honour some of the most forward-thinking mobility retailers who are blazing a trail in the digital world.

Chris McConnell, Arjo’s PHDA portfolio director, says: “We understand the importance of digital media in today’s world, and have chosen to sponsor this award because we are proud to recognise success in this area in conjunction with AMP. We wish the best of luck to all entrants!”

Arjo is a Swedish-based global supplier of medical devices, services and solutions that improve quality of life for people with reduced mobility. It has an expanding dealer network and sells its products in more than 100 countries and has around 6,000 employees worldwide. One of the industry’s largest mobility manufacturers, Sunrise Medical, will once again sponsor the AMP Awards. This time Sunrise will be getting behind the Dealer of the Year for Innovation category, which is one of the most exciting. Sunrise is particularly well suited to the innovation category and has invested heavily recently in updating its powerchair range with cutting edge features and designs.

Head of sales, Ryan Hirst, said that the company has decided to endorse the Awards for a second year running as it believes that quality service and professionalism are paramount to the industry and its own products. He says: “I think the acknowledgement and recognition of our dealers is a great way to encourage the very best service. I would strongly urge all dealers to take part and attend the event as it’s a great time to catch up and celebrate this wonderful industry that aims to improve all our end-users’ lives.”

With so many new innovations coming from the manufacturer, including its entry-level Q100, it feels right that it should recognise those dealers that go the extra mile to support end-users. To find out more about Sunrise’s new ranges and the Q100 powerchair, call 0845 605 6688 or click here.

TriLift is returning as an AMP Awards partner for the second year running where it will be the official sponsor of the Dealer of the Year (Rest of the UK) category. The move sees TriLift supporting some of the country’s top independent and multi-site mobility retailers at 2019’s Awards.

As the manufacturer of a breakthrough in scooter transportation solutions, TriLift places innovation at the core of its business and wants the industry’s top retailers to capitalise on the unique opportunity it is offering. Ray Lartey, TriLift’s managing director, said that the company chose to back the Dealer of the Year (Rest of the UK) category because it would like to recognise retailers’ commitment to providing the best products and solutions to the disabled community.

He says: “We pride ourselves on being able to give as much independence back as possible by offering products that are genuinely needed and benefit the customer. Together with the dealers we can achieve independence and quality, enabling all our customers to go about their everyday life.”

TriLift allows mobility scooter users to transport their device on the back of a car. Crucially, because the scooter sits outside the car as a bike would on a bike rack, TriLift does not take up any boot or back seat space. Partners benefit from the supplier’s national advertising campaigns on their behalf which will promote the product among end-users. TriLift will offer partners technical support and the product’s small size and weight means it is compatible with most cars in the UK and does not affect the safe and legal operation of the vehicle.
