Medequip is to be the principal sponsor of Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation’s new Wheelchair Rugby League side.

The community equipment services provider said it was proud to be involved in the emerging sport which will form part of the Rugby League World Cup main event for the first time later this year.

Steve Smith, Medequip’s General Manager (North East Region), said: “Wheelchair services are an integral part of many of our contracts, and this sponsorship provides a perfect fit in terms of our corporate social responsibility strategy. We’re also hoping we can become more involved in the sport with our user groups too.”
