The Mature Marketing Association has announced the agenda for its 2018 Summit, featuring a top selection of industry experts and marketing professionals.
This year’s Summit will take place on October 17 and host speakers from a range of sectors, including Google, Telegraph Media Group, and Accord Marketing.
The Summit will also focus on the UK’s ageing population and how brands must communicate with them effectively by using on-point messaging, creativity and tone of voice.
For 2018, speakers will cover a variety of topics including simplifying digital, brand engagement strategies and the consumer path to purchase.
Over the past five years, the MMA Summit has established itself as one of Europe’s leading conferences on the ‘grey market’.
Following speaker sessions, the event will conclude with an expert panel debate.
This year’s Summit is the first one to be organised by Sally Winfield, who was announced as the association’s new chair in May.
Winfield is a former group classified director of the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard and Metro, and current CEO of mature marketing specialist agency Accord.
On this year’s summit, she said: “Just last month, YouGov data revealed that 79% of 50+ consumers feel misrepresented within media. To counteract this, it is crucial that brands reconsider how they communicate with this group. By sharing our collective expertise and insights, our members will better understand this complex, diverse and lucrative audience. This is a must-attend event for those wanting to tap into this increasingly important sector”.
Members of the MMA receive discounted Summit tickets for the conference, in addition to access to up-to-date research and insights on the over-50s market.
