Last-minute delivery saves Lifestyle and Mobility customer from lonely Christmas

South Coast dealer, Lifestyle and Mobility, was able to keep one of its customers mobile and able to visit relatives over Christmas after one of TGA’s ASMs went the extra mile to deliver a scooter.

Despite TGA deliveries ceasing for the Christmas break, Lifestyle and Mobility placed an order for a Minimo Plus 4 to ensure an immobile customer would be able to get out and about over the festive season.

Darren Macey, business development manager for the Southend dealer, said he had been approached by a local lady who was “desperate” for a scooter over Christmas.

“Without it she was going to be housebound and unable to visit her daughter, a very lonely Christmas was on the cards.

“We assured her we would do everything we could to get a Minimo Plus 4 delivered before Christmas, however TGA supply had stopped for the festive break.

“I phoned TGA area sales manager, Ryan Curtis, late morning on the last day of trading and even though it looked impossible, he pulled a few strings and managed to personally deliver the exact specified scooter that evening.

“An amazing effort which meant our customer enjoyed Christmas Eve with her family and not alone. We really appreciate this support especially as Ryan missed a lot of the TGA Christmas party.”

Curtis, said he was aware that without his last-minute three-hour trip to Southend, Lifestyle and Mobility’s customer would have waited up to two weeks for a standard delivery.

“Their customer was desperate which once again highlights the lifeline that scooters provide for so many people.

“We always appreciate that our level of service needs to be impeccable so dealers can achieve the same.”
