Registered charity Mobility and Support Information Service (MASIS) has launched its new ‘2020 Key Worker Lapel Badge’ campaign, in honour of those who risked and lost their lives during the coronavirus pandemic.
After gauging public opinion on the idea via its Facebook page, MASIS commissioned its team to design the badge, which it hopes the public will get behind and gift to a frontline worker they know.
The charity’s founder said that the aim is to make key workers feel honoured, appreciated and supported for their efforts during the COVID-19 outbreak.
MASIS also hopes that people will continue to wear the badge for many years to come, and that it will help to commemorate all of the key workers who risked or lost their lives in 2020.
Proceeds received from donations or purchases of the 2020 Key Worker Lapel Badge will enable MASIS to support NHS and care services.
The charity is working on addressing the diverse needs of disabled and vulnerable people and carers whose lives have been subjected to increased levels of isolation and loneliness as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The badge campaign can be donated to via the charity’s Facebook page.
