Affordable Mobility

Clitheroe-based mobility dealer Affordable Mobility is under new management following a change in ownership.

Company founders Iain Greenhalgh and Albert Lucas have exited the business after selling the assets and property to husband and wife team Ian and Judith Gibson.

They will now lead the firm as it embarks on its next phase of growth.

Affordable Mobility provides a wide range of mobility equipment to local customers and is an authorised distributor of Stannah stairlifts. It also operates an online shop selling a selection of mobility aids and devices.

The Gibsons will continue to operate the business from its existing head office and showroom and are to retain all four existing staff members of staff. It is understood that two additional positions will be created.

Mr Gibson said he and his wife were looking forward to building on the excellent reputation that Affordable Mobility has gained since it was formed 23 years ago.

“We’ve worked closely with the previous owners to ensure a smooth transition and that our customers get the same high levels of service, product knowledge and aftercare they are used to,” he commented.

The transaction was overseen by law firm Harrison Drury solicitors.
