Karma wheelchair upgrades ‘designed to support retailers’

Karma S-125-Tall

Karma Mobility has introduced upgrades to its S-Ergo 115 and S-Ergo 125 manual wheelchairs, which it hopes will allow dealers to offer greater choice to customers and meet more clients’ needs.

The S-Ergo 115 Tall and S-Ergo 125 Tall now feature a maximum seat depth of 19” making both models more suitable for taller users.

Mark Duffield, general manager at Karma Mobility, said: “Following the success of the recent launch of the Flexx Tall, the design team at Karma Mobility’s manufacturing HQ in Taiwan took the decision to offer the same seating option for the S-Ergo models.

“We hope this latest enhancement to our range of manual wheelchairs will further help support our retailers when they are talking to customers looking for a suitable wheelchair to meet their requirements.”

Both models are available as a transit or self-propel model and are made from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminium weighing 8kg and 9kg, respectively, when broken down once the wheels and footplates have been removed.

They are two of the company’s lightest crash tested wheelchairs. The 115 and 125 incorporate the patented S-Ergo seat system which promotes pressure relief by spreading the user’s weight over a wider area which also increases stabilisation and reduces sliding.

Increased levels of strength and durability are provided by the frame which consists of oval tubed double cross braces.

Additional standard features on the S-Ergo 115 Tall and S-Ergo 125 Tall include slowing brakes, quick release wheels, swing away footrests and detachable upholstery for ease of cleaning.
