Former wheelchair manufacturer CEO and founder, Richard Chang, has been appointed as the new chairman of Taiwan based Karma Medical.
A familiar face to Karma having worked in global sales, marketing, product planning, and also R&D, Richard succeeded Kenny Chen on 2 March.
After 33 years as CEO, Kenny will proceed with the handover until 31 August and continue serving as full time Chairman from 1 September.
Richard said: “I have the passion to market products which will benefit society. And for me, I think Karma products fit these principles.”
He said his main aim was to deliver “affordable high quality designed products” to end users and a high customer service level for people using its products.
Kenny said he was “very excited to welcome Richard Chang to the team as the new CEO of Karma Medical. Richard’s extensive experience, commitment to fostering excellence, and deep understanding of Karma’s company core values, will continue to guide and develop everything that Karma has to offer, and expand the company through leadership to benefit our customers”.
Karma’s UK arm, Karma Mobility, launched its new product focused website in September 2020.
