Mobility equipment manufacturer and supplier Invacare is set to launch a new website dedicated entirely to its Safe Patient Handling range, at the OT Show next month.
The firm’s Safe Patient Handling team will explain to visitors how www.safepatienthandling.co.uk has been created with occupational therapists and other health professionals in mind.
The new website will also enable visitors to ‘Meet the Team’, as well as keep up-to-date with news from Invacare Safe Patient Handling, including the calendar of events for 2018.
Alongside the new website, Invacare will be displaying their three new product videos and handing out ‘Community Life’ survival kits, including kneeling pads and thermal mugs, to help healthcare professionals working in the community and residential care.
Invacare’s team will be offering live demonstrations of the website and will also showcase the new educational web resources on offer.
The resources include: ‘Your Community’ – A group of 6 personas that bring to life the people who are regularly encountered within the community and residential care; ‘Knowledge Bank’ – A series of clinical resources, including case studies, that have been created to help provide OTs and healthcare professionals with additional knowledge and insights; ‘Assessment Tools’ – Information on relevant assessment methods; and ‘Solutions’ – Identification of how Invacare’s range of Safe Patient Handling products are designed to address safety in moving and handling around the home, in the bathroom and in the bedroom.
The supplier will also be exhibiting the Aquatec Ocean family of shower chair commodes, along with the new Aquatec Pure Bidet at stand E20.
Invacare’s business development managers will be showing how the modular nature of the shower chairs are designed to make them an ideal alternative to prescription based shower chairs, as well as presenting how the Aquatec Ocean VIP can be easily adapted to suit smaller adults or younger clients.
