Invacare adds to bed range with new model for children

Invacare has announced the launch of the ScanBetaNG paediatric bed, aimed at children between 3 and 12.

The Invacare ScanBetaNG aims to combine safety and comfort to deliver a cost-effective solution for community and residential care environments, featuring four braking castors and beech veneer bed ends as standard.

The new model can be also be configured with a selection of 800mm high sides, including folding perspex panels, to help meet the changing needs of a child.

Available in two mattress platform sizes of 700mm x 1600mm and 800mm x 1800mm, the bed has been designed with safety as a priority and as a result has been rigorously tested to meet the Nordic Requirement Specifications.

Marketing manager, Lisa Cook, said: “With NHS and Local Authority budgets under increasing pressure, we are delighted to be able to offer a configurable, compliant and highly cost-effective solution for disabled children in community environments.”
