Somerset-based dealer, HMS Mobility, has once again put its weight behind a local charity event which has to date raised more than £32,000 for disabled children.
The dealer will be the host, organiser and prime sponsor for the ‘Retro Fundraising’ event in Martock and Somerton, which will see some 400 vintage and classic vehicles arrive from across the UK.
Set for Sunday 7 July, HMS Mobility’s event will take place for the sixth time and according to boss, Garry Hellings, 2019 is set to be its “best event yet”.
He said: “Working in the mobility industry we often see and hear of hardship for young disabled children.
“My eldest daughter, Kirstie Hellings, sales director at HMS Mobility, and I try and give something back from our business efforts by organising, hosting and being the main sponsor for our one day event ‘Retro Fundraising’.
“All money raised goes to a local charity to help disabled children.”
The event will include live music, food, a range of activities for children and a road closure cavalcade where the pavements will be lined with thousands of spectators on the Sunday morning.
