Mobility and healthcare distributor Health Care Services UK (HCSUK) has placed a new focus on dementia enabling products following its recent store revamp.

Its mobility arm has introduced an entire ‘Dementia at Home’ section at its Eastwood shop which is designed to help, support and enable people living at home with dementia.

The company, which supplies healthcare products to a range of sectors and operators, has found that many end-users and their family or carers struggle to find resources and advice on dementia and related products.

By introducing its new dementia range HCSUK hopes to support peoples’ capabilities by improving daily living, helping with orientation, maintaining dignity, stimulating reminiscence and promoting communication.

The ‘Dementia at Home’ section will feature displays including colourful plates and cups, clocks and boards and reminiscence boxes.

HCSUK has been supplying different sectors of the healthcare industry since 1989 and its customers now include private hospitals, nursing and care homes, dentists’ and GPs’ surgeries, care agencies, hospices and clinics, prisons, schools and nurseries and the funeral profession.
